Why should I use a qualified and registered Building Designer?

A qualified building designer holds an Advanced Diploma in Building Design & Architectural Drafting, equipping them with the required knowledge to provide exceptional design and documentation. At Density Developments, we are both qualified and registered building designers with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), which enables us to certify our documentation to ensure your project can progress to the construction stage. It is advisable to use a registered building designer as you will not be able to obtain a building permit without this registration.

Where is Density Developments based?

We operate from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, however we service all of Victoria. We offer the initial consultation free of charge and it can be conducted either in person or virtually.

How long does the process take before I can start building?

Each project will vary in terms of timelines due to many contributing factors. Some of these may include the type and size of the project, permission from external authorities and amount of consultants required to be engaged. All our clients are provided with a welcome pack which will outline our process and estimated timeframes for the specific project.

What measures do you take to adhere to our budget?

A discussion regarding budget is one of the first things we do to ensure the project is viable. In the early stages of design, we highly recommend having preliminary discussions with builders to obtain some cost estimates. Our designers liaise regularly with builders for varying types of projects and quite often discuss the current cost of building and materials to ensure our initial concept reflects our clients budget.
